Specialized Counseling for Men

Ken Donaldson counseling for men and depression

In St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa and the surrounding areas, there are over 1 million males over the age of 18. Although more women typically seek out counseling then men, men are just as susceptible to depression, anxiety, addiction and relationship issues.

However, because of our sociocultural “norms,” many men deny or minimize their need for counseling because it may be seen as a sign of weakness. And although the diagnosis may be the same as women, men’s symptoms can manifest themselves differently.

Since I am a man, I understand these dynamics fully, and I’ve had the privilege of working with many men in my 30 years of counseling. As with every new client I see, my approach with men is personal, individualized and highly confidential.

Working with men and depression, anxiety, addiction or relationship issues has been one of my primary focal points since I started my practice. I want men to know they have a place they can talk openly about what’s really going on in their lives, while also receiving effective and efficient counseling to help them create a life of happiness, health and wholeness.

If you have questions about counseling for men, I’m invite you to call. I’m here to listen to your concerns.
