What do you think about…mind control…out of control… loss of control?

Or perhaps you think about seeing one of those stage hypnosis shows
where the hypnotist makes the woman “bark like a chicken.”

What if I told you – prepare yourself – that you were being
hypnotized all day long?

Scared?

Excited?

Well…you are!

You are being hypnotized either by yourself or by your environment.

Let me explain…

Being a student of hypnosis for over 20 years and having hundreds of
hours of training, supervision, more training and practical
application with my clients, I can tell you this:
Hypnosis is probably NOT what you think it is.

Simply put, it’s the ability to have an impact on the deeper part of
your mind  – the subconscious – to create effective, positive and
lasting change.

Who’s the greatest hypnotist?

You are!

Why?

Because you decide every day, all day long, what to allow to impact
you and what to NOT allow to impact you.

However…

Some of you have been on “auto-pilot” and that’s not so good!

Know who impacts you the most then? Probably advertisers, as they

Yes, many people today are allowing themselves to be hypnotized by
their surroundings: Their friends, the media, advertising, their
co-workers and/or perhaps the general consensus of whatever group
happens to be present.

But aren’t these challenging times?  

Yes…no doubt…but why is it that there are a number of people who
rise to the challenge and overcome the challenge, and most others
just sit and watch and complain about “how bad it is out there”???

Mass-hypnosis at its best!

But those few people – probably 5% – know how to hypnotize themselves
into success, happiness, health and wealth!

So, want to be a better hypnotist of yourself?

Cool…two simple steps you can take to get started today:

First…decide very clearly what it is you want… decide what your
targets or goals are.

In a relaxed state (basically that means to close your eyes in a
quiet place), begin to visualize what you want…be very specific.  

Then, and this is THE most challenging piece, create the emotions
that match how it would be to have accomplish those goals, hit those
targets and fulfill all that you desire.

You may have to do this over and over to overcome the negative
thinking and projecting that’s developed from years of
counter-productive thinking.

Keep doing it over and over…allow this to be your consuming thought.

I can assure you this: If you persevere and if you’re consistent and
if you keep going and going (that means to NEVER quit!),
you’ll achieve your goals and then some.

Oops…there is another small piece: You MUST go into action…
consistent, continual, passionate action that is in alignment with
your goals.

Yes…you must step of out your box, out of your comfort zone and
enter the Land of Possibility.

Every day in every way!

Action, action and more action…visualizing, visualizing and more
visualizing.

Yep, Bruce Springsteen, a.k.a. “The Boss”, is turning 60.

60 years YOUNG that would be.

So, how does he keep his youthful energy?

I hear he’s a bit of an exercise fanatic…that certainly helps.

I have also heard that he eats well…that helps too.

Oh yeah, he has regular visits with his therapist…he mentioned this in a
TV interview a few years ago… he said it was one of the most favorite times of the week for him.

(Thanks, Bruce, we can use all the positive PR we can get!)

That must also help somewhat.

What else keeps Bruce young?

How about this: Living in his Passion and Purpose.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him live 5 times and had the same experience every time:
I felt like he was playing the whole concert just for me.

No, that doesn’t mean I’m psychotic…it DOES mean, however, that he gives it all away
every time he steps out on the stage…and into the studio…and every time he picks up his guitar…
or picks up a piece of paper to let his muse loose to create more powerfully poetic lyrics.

You know where I’m going, don’t you?!!

Yes, I’m about to ask you a very challenging question.

Some of you will step up and some of you will step away.

Some of you will stop reading and some of you will read more intently.

Which are you?

Bruce is truly a MVP living a MVP life….

A Most Valuable Person with a Mission, a Vision and Purpose.

Yes, what about you – figured out your MVP yet?

(That was THE question!!)

Without a Mission, a Vision or Purpose, life is most often controlled by external events,
other people and circumstances.

People who live this way feel like victims or martyrs… they have difficulty even
understanding the concept of Passion and Purpose.

Can’t give it all away if you haven’t figured out what to give away!

Yes, Bruce lives, writes, creates and plays with unlimited Passion and Purpose.

He gives it all away every day…and every night.

Maybe you’re not a Bruce fan like I am, but there is someone that you look up to
who shows up with this level of energy, enthusiasm and excitement.

Whoever it is, I can assure you that they too live the MVP life.

And if you’re not there yet, I’ve got Good News for you:
Life is patient and abundant.

Patient because you can start whenever you like… there always enough time.

Here’s a real life example for you:

Remember Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame?
Well, in 1956, at the age of 66, he was broke. He was living off of Social Security at that time.
With only Passion and Enthusiasm for his chicken recipe, he had over 400 chicken “franchises” by 1960.

He sold out and retired in 1964. And then gave much of his profit away to charities and adopted 78 foreign orphans.

How cool is that?!!

Now there’s someone with a MVP life…yes??!!

Life was patient AND incredibly abundant for The Colonel.
