Helping You Break Free From Addiction, Heal From Trauma,
and Build Healthy Relationships

You're Struggling, and You're Not Sure Where to Turn

Maybe you're watching someone you love spiral deeper into addiction, and you feel helpless to stop it. Or perhaps you're the one battling depression, anxiety, or trauma that won't let go. Possibly your relationship is falling apart, and you're unsure how to repair it.

You're exhausted from trying to manage everything on your own. You've been strong for so long, but inside, you're barely holding it together.

I'm here to help

Together, we'll work through the pain, the patterns, and the problems that keep you stuck. You'll gain the tools, insight, and support you need to heal, recover, and create a life that feels whole again. My clients often tell me I help them see things they couldn't see before connecting the dots in ways that bring clarity, relief, and real change.

My Path To Becoming A Therapist

Treatment Saved My Life And Showed
Me My Calling

At 19, I was arrested for the third time for drug possession and faced prison. I was drowning in depression and had no idea who I was or what mattered to me.

My parents found an 18-month treatment program that changed everything. When I finally started opening up in group therapy, I felt relief for the first time in years. I started connecting with my peers, asking questions, really listening, and the therapists noticed. They told me I had a natural gift for helping people feel heard and understood.

That program didn't just save my life. It saved my family. My parents had to attend a parenting group, and it helped their relationship so much that I used to joke that my dad owed me for saving their marriage.

Treatment planted the seed that I should become a therapist someday, even though it would take years before I was ready.

I Understand Both Sides of Addiction

I relapsed a few times before I finally felt a calling to become a therapist. I returned to school at 29 and earned my Master's degree in Counseling in 1992.

I've been clean and sober since 1985. Through my own recovery and 30+ years of working with families, I've learned what addiction does not just to the person struggling, but to the people who love them: The fear, the helplessness, the sleepless nights. I've been on both sides of it.

When you work with me, you're working with someone who's been where you are, whether you're the one struggling or the one watching someone you love struggle.

Why Being a Therapist is Meaningful to Me

I Get to Help People Connect the Dots

When a client is searching for something they can't quite find, an answer, a pattern, a piece of the puzzle, I have a way of helping them see it. I can detect patterns, read between the lines, and help people understand why they keep ending up in the same painful situations.

It's like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. My clients bring in the pieces, and I help them see how they fit together. When they finally understand why they keep picking unavailable partners or why they feel stuck in the same cycle, that's when real change becomes possible.

Since 1985, I've dedicated my life to helping people break free from addiction, heal from trauma, and build healthier relationships. There's nothing more meaningful to me than watching someone move from pain and confusion to clarity and real, lasting change.

What Makes Me Different as a Therapist

I Make Therapy Fun, Intuitive, and Outside-the-Box

I use humor, creativity, and unconventional approaches to keep therapy engaging and effective. I'm actively listening, asking questions, and helping you make connections you might not have seen on your own.

I have a unique ability to:

Read between the lines and pick up on what's not being said

Detect patterns that keep showing up in your life and relationships

Help you understand why certain things keep happening

Keep therapy dynamic, engaging, and sometimes even fun

People who know me often say I'm an excellent listener with a great knowledge base and a witty sense of humor. Clients tell me I'm the first therapist who truly "got" them, who helped them see their blind spots and finally understand themselves in a way that brings relief.
