Ken Donaldson 2014 Ride to Defeat ALS

Ken Donaldson 2014 Ride to Defeat ALS

On Saturday, November 8th, I rode my recumbent bike (a.k.a. “the funky bike”) 63 miles for the Ride to Defeat ALS. It was fun, fulfilling and, yes, somewhat tiring. Thanks to everyone who helped support me and the Ride to Defeat ALS.

You can still help the ALS cause by clicking here to contribute.

Every $5, $50, $500 or even $5000 goes to help defeat ALS by providing patient services and cutting edge research.

This ride was an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by Lou Gehrig’s Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.

Here’s a music video slide show of my 4+ hour ride condensed down (with some very high speed video enhancements) into a fun 3 minutes, 30 seconds…enjoy:

I’m impressed with your cycle and your efforts to defeat ALS.
Saturday I had my own long distance adventure of 132 miles! I cycled through six counties (Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Sumter, Lake, and Polk. I cycled through the Jay B. Wilderness Park, Suncoast Trail, then I used SR 50 to cross half the state, finally jumped on the Van Fleet Trail for the final 30 miles and rested at a friend’s house in Polk City. Was quite a day!
    Keep up the great efforts!
