Ken Donaldson on Giving, Pay It Forward and Playing Forward
I had to write this “Giving, Pay It Forward and Playing Forward” post
This is a thank you letter I received this past week. In fact, this was one of many. I made what I thought was a small donation to help students in a class all get pedometers so they could improve their health and fitness.
I didn’t really expect them all to write me a letter, but they did. These letters brought tears, happy ones, to my eyes.
I was reminded that giving, paying forward and playing forward all come back around. I didn’t give to get anything, but look what I got. A blessing, a gift and a really nice feeling.
In fact, receiving these letters was the best feeling I had all week. This invited me to be extra thankful for all I have and all I’ve been blessed with.
I really have SO much and there are so many who have too little. I forget this as I get caught up in the “more is better” myth that is so prevalent in our culture today.
Your turn now: Giving, Pay It Forward and Playing Forward.
And remember: Marry YourSelf First!!
